Back to back mommy daughter date

January 26, 2015~ Etc.

I went on a mommy daughter date with my oldest daughter.  We went to Nickel City and got a lot of tickets, then bought something for her and her sister and brother little gifts with the tickets, then went to Gloria’s Little Italy, her favorite place to get gelato.
The next day, it was my younger daughter’s turn for a mommy daughter date.  I asked her what she wanted to do and she wanted to go to Toys R Us and got Shopkins, these ridiculously overpriced toys that are tiny plastic foods with little faces on it.  Yeah, I don’t get it either.  But she said it wasn’t for her, she really wanted to get it for her sister who loves them, so how could I say no to her selfless plea?  Then she wanted to go to Gloria’s Little Italy too for some gelato.  She usually wants to do what her big sister did on our date, and it’s pretty cute how much she follows her sister.

My girls are growing up so fast.  It really hurts my heart when I look at their younger pictures of even just a year ago and their cheeks were a little more chubby, their hair was a little bit shorter, and they looked littler.  But I know I will say look how little they were when I look at pictures of now, in a few years or even next year, which makes me so sad too!  I hear if little kids start lifting heavy weights, it stunts their growth, maybe I should sign them up for a weight lifting class, isn’t that a great idea? πŸ˜‰

Haha Sarah, you are too much! πŸ™‚ Love that you have dates with them because it's those little moments that they will remember forever. I talked to my mom the other day about childhood memories I had and she was shocked at some of the things I remembered…so I try to keep that in mind with Marli πŸ™‚ It hurts me too because they grow up so fast (and mine isn't even 2 yet haha), but documenting with photos/videos help a little.

I love Gloria's Little Italy – lucky you who gets to have it twice in a row and with two cute little girls!
