adalie’s christmas present

December 8, 2010~ Etc.

i took my 3 yr. old to the dentist last week and found out
that she has 8 cavities. yes you read that right, eight.
and it’ll cost over a grand to get it fixed. i was not happy.
but the upside to this is that we’ve been excellent at
giving them flouride and brushing their teeth at least
twice a day ever since. it was a lesson worth a $1,000.

but she is so cute and i love her.
ana felt left out and wanted pictures with mommy too.

and has any of your husbands ever complained of growing pains?
my husband thinks he’s growing. no, seriously.
he’s in his late twenties and last night he was so sore.
not his muscles but his bones he says.
i kept laughing and he googled and you can have growing pains
until you’re 55! WHAT? i want some of that!
i couldn’t stop laughing all night because he never ever
complains of pain even when he had a broken finger,

a sprained back so bad he couldn’t move for 3 days,
cut himself deep while renovating,
BUT
he whined, groaned and complained all night last night because
of his “growing pains”.
so i gave him a long, deep massage and we both fell asleep happy.
he cracks me up.

and more items added to the great sale at S.T Collection!

as Herbie said "I wanna be a dentist" damn, 1k for 8 teeny tiny cavities. Highway robbery! You have a great attitude about it though, I am now spending almost 5 figures getting my teeth repairs. double ouch.

I did not know you could get growing pains as an adult. So maybe i'm not getting 'growing older' pains after all. lol

Wow, that's a lot of cavities and $$$! my three year old hasn't been to the dentist yet and I've been hoping he doesn't have too many cavities!!! I'll be making an appointment soon!

@abby:i've spent couple of 5 figures for my teeth. yikes!
@just: she just went in for an examination. she'll get it fixed next year and be sedated so she won't feel a thing during or after thank goodness. 🙂

My 6 year old is doing the sedation thing next week – removing four teeth and getting six crowns. Talk about excessive and expensive – $4K.

    I feel your pain.

@charity: oh my you poor thing and your daughter! 6 crowns already? Don't baby teeth start to fall out at the age of 6? I'm so sorry to hear that!
@just: thank you so much, hope you have a lovely weekend as well!

I just recently read the following post about curing tooth decay. I don't have any cavities, but wonder if it could be possible.

    https://www.westonaprice.org/book-reviews/thumbs-up/1752-cure-tooth-decay.html

Maybe we could put dentists out of work!

@mini: wow, thank you, I'll definitely look into that! that sounds so interesting, it's all because of nutritional imbalance? thanks for sharing! n yes i think dentists charge way too much just because they can! 🙂
