The girls have been asking and begging to have a lemonade stand sale for a long time. So I finally gave in and went shopping at midnight to buy all the supplies, made the lemonade, set everything up, basically I spent all the money getting the lemonade stand ready and did all the preparations and the work and they kept all the profit. This business of mine is not going very well for me. Talk about the worst business model ever! Hahaha, so joking, I would do anything for these kids of mine. I remember having a popsicle/lemonade sale when I was 12 and making $27 and we were so pumped and one of my friend’s mom said something like, “Oh, yay! I spent $32 and you girls earned $27!” and it reminded me of that. Now I understand where she was coming from. I understand moms life now!

Aren’t they the cutest lemonade sellers? I am so obsessed with these kids of mine! They sang this song “Lemonade, lemonade, come and get your lemonade” song every time a car passed by and it was just the cutest thing. The neighbors were more than generous and they made quiet the sales! And they were so excited and having fun, it was so fun for me watching them running after cars on the sidewalk trying to flag them down with their cute signs. Every time a car drove by, my son would grab a lemon and hold it to his face as if seeing a fresh lemon would motivate to stop and buy the lemonade more, and it must have worked!
And isn’t this stainless steel cooler the coolest looking cooler you’ve seen, and aren’t these lemonade stand covers the cutest looking lemonade stand you’ve ever seen? The lemonade stand cover is by Hide-a-boo Hideouts made by a teacher who wanted to motivate kids to do more creative play because the art of creative play is slowly getting lost in this generation of electronics, television and endless worksheets. I respect teachers so much and try to support them as much as I can, and I definitely, firmly believe in creative play so I definitely wanted to support them on Kickstarter they just launched last night! Just like these lemonade stand covers, they have “Happy Camper”, “Underwater Submarine”, “Outerspace Rocket” and “Enchanted Castle” hideouts for the kids to play inside the hideout as well as the outside to let our kids imagination come to life. I went to their Kickstarter launch event last night with my whole family and we had such a fun time dancing and eating lots of delicious treats and having a countdown to their Kickstarter. If you’d like to see them and support them on Kickstarter, go here.
P.S I am doing a Periscope tonight at 9:30 pm MST and I’d love to have you join me! It’s my first official one of me talking into the camera(I did a few during Disney Social Media Moms of the event happening around me), I’ll be talking about some personal stuff on there and I will most definitely cry. Haha, wish me luck. My handle is @sarahtyau!
