4th of July

July 5, 2011~ Etc.

woke up at 5:45 a.m to watch the hot air balloons
(can’t remember the last time i woke up that early, but mcdonald’s surely helped 🙂
watched the fireworks until the kids wanted to go home due to mosquito bites
threw a 4th of july BBQ for family and friends
and had some fireworks of our own, which must’ve been pretty impressive
because we drew in quiet the screaming crowd from our neighborhood.
hope you had a wonderful 4th of july!
i’m so proud to be an american.
p.s: can somebody please tell my husband to take it easy with the lighter?

4th of July

July 6, 2010~ Etc.

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. We had some family & friends over for a picnic as we waited for the fireworks to start.

if one does something, the other has to do the same.

still bald you ask? yes, yes she is. 🙂

Jay’s steak is the best. honestly.

ana loves to climb things.

no a lion’s not chasing him adi.

she didn’t know what it was at first. but then she loved it and kept clapping, pointing and making sounds the whole time during the fireworks.

then we had friends over for dinner on the 4th and ended the night with watching Date Night and playing Scrabble.

I’m so grateful to be an American! I was born in America but moved to Korea when I was 2 and came back when I was 10 yrs. old so I spent my childhood in Korea but I always considered America my home. I have so much pride in my country and I believe we’re the strongest nation because it is based upon the foundation of God. I’m grateful for the freedom of speech, freedom of religion and my life. I hope everybody had a good 4th!

I always enjoy your blog and find you an amazing talented woman. I really enjoyed this post regarding your feelings for America since you were raised for a time in another country. I agree it is our foundation in God that makes this country unique. I am jealous I have not got to check out Date night yet. Thanks for your blog you are really blessed! Keep on blogging!
