After Jay ran his first half marathon back in May(see post here), he decided to run his first full marathon as well. So he signed up for the St. George Marathon hoping to get picked and he got lucky and got in the race! I don't understand him or the millions of people who run full marathons, but I do think they are amazing. 26.2 miles, insane I tell you!
Jay called me the last two miles of the race(we decided it'd be best for me to stay home with my bebes while he went with his brother) because he said the last few miles were the hardest and needed an extra motivation. So the girls and I chanted, "Go daddy, go daddy!" the whole time while he face timed with us and finished the race!
Who looks that hot right after crossing the finish line of the marathon? My husband, ya'll.
I am so proud of him! I thought he'd be bed-ridden the next day but he vacuumed the whole house, did laundry and helped take care of the kids. If it was me, I'd use that as an excuse to not do any chores for two full weeks. It's like giving birth, no? But that is a typical Jay, the guy with the strongest work ethic I know. Gosh, I love this boy! I mean man. A real strong, sturdy, manly man. K, I'm done.
