About a year ago, my girls stopped letting me dress them. When we go shopping for clothes and I hold up a clothing item I like and say, “How about this one?” They tell me, “Mommy, that’s mommy’s style, not my style.” If I buy it anyway in hopes that they’ll change their mind and wear it later, they end up never wearing it. So now I take them shopping and reluctantly let them pick out their clothes. It’s not so fun anymore. They used to dress so cute when they let me dress them, but now, not so much! But I guess there are more important things in life than having my girls try to be the best dressers in town.
And (*insert an evil laugh here) good thing I have my baby to dress him in whatever I please! So glad he doesn’t know or care what clothes he’s wearing. I figure I have at least a few years until he stops letting me dress him and starts voicing his opinions about his clothes. And when that time comes, I’ll just pop out another baby and then another, and so on! Okay, I’m so kidding. The thought of even having another raises my blood pressure.

Haha! Well, if it's any comfort, I feel like boys generally are a little bit more okay with their moms dressing them for longer!

ahhhhhhh Sarah he is adorable! 🙂 My brother is 19 and doesn't mind other people picking out his clothes so maybe there is more hope for you?

That's what some other moms have told me! I'm hoping my boy will be one of them. 🙂
