on days like when i really really don’t feel like cooking,
we go get some food and take it to the playground for a little picnic.
is it just me that thinks dinner menu planning/writing down a grocery list/grocery shopping
is such a chore? i enjoy cooking but not all the work that goes into it before.
and it seems like no matter how much food i buy, there’s nothing to eat when you open the refrigerator!
life would be splendid if we had our own personal chef but i guess i’ve got nothing to complain about.
i’ve learned it’s easy to get caught up in i want’s but it’s better to focus on i have’s.
life is much better that way anyway.
and making dinner every night is a little sacrifice i’ll gladly make for my little family.

food shopping/cooking/planning/clearing up. It DOES become a chore.
On a Saturday we have McDonalds or Burger King for lunch, it's soooo good to have a break from having to make the food myself!

How funny, That exactly what we did today… Sonic's picnic at the park π

My prob is that I plan the meals, do the shopping, then feel too lazy to actually cook what I have planned to. Then I waste the food and feel horrible! Sometimes we all need a little happy meal action π

Wow, even at my age, I couldn't agree with you MORE! or said it better myself!

@flaf: I'm wearing a shirt underneath to make it more modest. it's a norm in our LDS religion but i can see why it would look odd haha!

I love picnics in the park with happy meals! I don't care who judges me, sharing a happy meal with my kids reminds me of when my mom would take us to mcdonalds as kids, very rare! But chicken nuggets and orange hi-c is a piece of my childhood I love passing on to my kids!
Oh and p.s. You totally rock the maxi dress look! Modest shirt or not π
Flaf says
Oh, that makes sense, thank you for your answer! π
Naomi Mae is right though – you still rock the maxi dress!
