we went to a valentines dance where my friend rachel and i danced like crazy with not a care in the world whether we looked ugly or silly(which i know we did) and laughing like little girls until our bellies hurt, (thanks jay for not being ashamed to be my date…or at least pretending not to be)
made heart rice krispie treats and decorated them, went to a hot pot place for v-day dinner where the owner gave adi pink girly plates and utensils and ana a spider man plate and a fork because he thought ana was a boy and said to jay, “oh your daughter is so pretty! she looks like her mom. and your son is so handsome, he looks like you.” hahaha which happens all the time even though she’s wearing pink or purple with flowers on it. i just say, “why, thank you!” when they say how handsome she is. i might start getting a little offended when she gets older and has long hair but until then i think it’s pretty funny.
and to end the day i made a valentines dessert for the hubby. i feel so lucky to be his wife. he makes my life complete.

Lol – I used to get that all the time with our youngest daughter – doesn't matter what they are wearing – short hair = boy. Lol, when the hair grows out it will stop. Always made me laugh. Glad you had a great Valentine's Day!

All your culinary creations look yummy! I smiled when I read about you dancing like crazy, in our relationship it's my husband who burns up the dance floor. Occasionally embarrassing, often impressive, always fun π

Awww…sounds like a great VDay all around! π
And hey, a woman can be 'handsome' (the 1930s starlets of Hollywood were often described as such), so I think it's a great compliment…even if it's given incorrectly. π

Great job on the dress! It looks good! Haha, everyone calls didi a girl. We love Four Seasons and Hot Pot, we usually do it at home. We'll have to do it some night!

i am new to your blog but absolutely LOOOOOOOOOVE it!!! i think it was made for me for 3 reasons:
1) I'm a Christian (and in the ministry as well) so it's important for me to be modest and set a good example to the young people I work with. but at the same time, I love to be fashionable and creative with my clothes! so i've have been pouring over all your tips and ideas.
2) being in the ministry, i also have to live on a budget and try to do things as affordably as possible! another reason why you're blog is perfect for me.
3) i love to sew and "revamp" clothes as i call it (Especially modernizing vintage clothes) but i'm at a loss on how to proceed sometimes. your directions and ideas are easy but so adorable!!!
you are truly my absolute favorite blog i've seen! π i have a newer fashion blog about doing things on a budget and i just featured one of your DIY projects. when i dont give tips and things, i tend to ramble on about fashion in general. lol check it out sometime!
