Cheers to the weekend and me surviving 5 days without my husband! All you single mothers & moms whose husbands are gone a lot, I bow down to you.
Just after I thought, “Oh, hey! I didn’t do so bad this time around! The kids were so good and I didn’t yell at them once!”, we decided to go to the KFC drive-thru and eat in the car with the music & the AC blasting in our faces like we have done before… when my 2 yr. old was immobile that is. This will be so much easier than eating inside at the restaurant! I thought. I don’t need to chase them around or yell at them to come sit down! I thought. WRONG.
2 yr. old spilled his electric pink Shopkin nail polish he just got at Target(can you tell he’s at home with 3 girls all day long?) when I told him firmly 14 times to not open his nail polish, causing me to scream, and I mean scream as loud as I possibly can, “AHHHHHHHH!!!”, then 2 yr. old tried to maneuver his sister to go to the back of the van, stepping on her mashed potatoes & gravy, thus a cat fight ensued with toy throwing, yelling, fighting, crying. “Breathe, Sarah. This is stretching your patience and making you a better person right now. And you’ll be blessed more than the quiet, peaceful dinner you’re giving up right now.” Good thing I had this epiphany a few weeks ago, right? (watch my YouTube video on this here)
46 mins. until my husband comes home. But who’s counting?😉
