We went to 3 Easter Egg hunts and while my son went to an Easter egg hunt last year, he was only 1 and didn’t know what was going on so this was the first time he actually knew what was going on and he couldn’t get enough! He asked me last night if we could go to an Easter egg hunt again.
My second had a birthday! She is now 7! We are having a birthday party for her this weekend, only a month after her actual birthday. Haha, it’s better late than never, right? March has been a crazy month for us! Something crazy happened to my husband(sorry, I’d totally share it with you but he doesn’t want me to) and we were traumatized from it so March was somewhat of a blur to us.
He got this balance bike last year but it was Winter and he hasn’t had a chance to ride it outside until now! Now that it finally stopped snowing! He was so happy! I cannot ever get enough of his cute smile. We got the balance bike here.
Then we went to a train expo that I found out about the night before and even though I had a lot to do the next day, I sucked it up and drove all the way to Ogden and our boy did not want to leave! My oldest daughter would rather go to her friend’s birthday party so she didn’t come with us and it made me a little sad. She is now 8 and 8 is the age that she’s become disinterested in certain things her younger siblings like and I feel she is growing up and not a small kid anymore! It literally hurts my heart every time I think about it. I see that her childhood innocence is slowly going away and she’s starting to care about what other people think of her or know what’s “cool” and what’s not. And would rather hang out with her friends sometimes than me! My two younger kids still want to hang out with me instead of their friends, but not my oldest little girl. So I should hang out with my two younger kids as much as I can before they want to hang out with their friends instead!
Have you noticed this in your child? What age was your child when he/she starting being like this? IT’S HEARTBREAKING, isn’t it? 🙁
