I am not even going to try to be creative with this announcement.
I've been feeling very sick the past few weeks.
I've been bed-ridden the past few weeks.
I've been either throwing up, or worse, wanting to hurl every second of the day.
Every smell(detergent, food, deodorant, vaseline, dog, unscented lotion, etc.) makes me want to hurl.
I feel like poop that keeps being stepped on over and over again.
I am pregnant.
This has got to be the most uncreative baby announcement ever, not even a picture! I wanted to share this news with a creative & cute announcement that I had planned, but screw it.
I've been trying to be positive with my sickness(except for last night when I just lost it and cried by myself after throwing up everything in me, and was still dry heaving), so here are the things that's making my burdens lighter.
-We are so lucky to be pregnant and having this baby. This is our first time we actually planned to get pregnant, so it wasn't a surprise but just pure joy and excitement.
-Jay has been an incredible support and friend. He has not complained once about picking up all the household chores and taking care of the kids. He carries me from room to room and holds me just like he holds our daughters, which makes me happy, embarrassed, and laugh at the same time.
-The girls have been playing so well with each other and they learned quickly to not come ask me to do things for them. I can't wait to play with them all day and do stuff for them.
-The sickness is getting a little bit better. Okay, not really, but everyday I wake up in the hopes that it'll just be gone. And I know that day will come soon.
-I took my health for granted. I am determined to exercise, be more active and to clean! I thought that day would never come! But seriously, I can't wait to just clean all day. I will not take my health and feeling good for granted, and put it to good use.
-If I had a choice to choose any sickness in the world, it would be this. To be sick because I have a little Jay & me inside of me that's growing. We love this baby so much. And I love Jay and the girls so much.

ReplyDeleteSorry you've been feeling so sick though! Hopefully you start feeling better soon!
You might want to talk to your doctor about the serious nausea (if it doesn't let up) There are pills you can take to help. I know women who have taken anti-nausea pills because they weren't keeping anything down and it just wasn't safe for them or the baby. I had a kidney stone with my first pregnancy and was prescribed safe anti-nausea med with that and took it on occasion with both of my pregnancies. It was super tiny (like birth control size), but did the trick or at least ease my stomach a lot.
What a blessing to have such a supportive husband! I love that he's taking such good care of things while you're sick. Get better soon!
Thank you Emily! I have been taking some anti-nausea pills and it seems to help. but kidney stone sounds so tough, you poor thing!
DeleteCongrats! I love reading your blog, your girls are so adorable. You are such a wonderful mother, this baby is so lucky! I hope you feel better soon and am excited to read more about your pregnancy in the upcoming months :)
ReplyDeleteYou are so sweet, Jessika, thank you!
DeleteCongratulations! As I read your description of feeling sick, I knew what was coming. I have 2 kids myself (21 months and 3 months), so I've been through it recently. Just keep reminding yourself why you feel sick, and that will help you get through it. :) Good luck!
ReplyDeletePregnancy is the easy part, you have it harder with a newborn! Congrats on your baby!
Deletecongrats! chewing on mint leaves might help the nausea.
ReplyDeletethat sounds great! Thank you!
DeleteSo excited for you :)
